PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

 

We are at DAV Centenary Sr Sec. Public School, Malerkotla believe that Education is not just in terms of the way as it is generally understood, but education in its holistic sense which leads to the growth of the body, mind and spirit of the child.

 

The purpose of education is not only teaching the textbooks to the children. It is the lot more than that. Education means discovering and sublimating their hidden talents. Education demands to make them think positively & behave responsibly. Education aims at producing not only good students but also ‘able adults’ so that they may successfully shoulder the responsibilities of family, society and the country in future

 

For fulfilling our commitment of excellence in education it is essential that the school, the parents and the students work together in unison.

 

Our commitment is evident by highly qualified and experienced teachers, high teacher student ratio and well equipped facilities. We help children to develop self confidence, self discipline, attitude and approach to problem solving. 

 

The curriculum emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge, understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities for all students attending our school. We believe that every learner is unique and special and that they all have the ability to learn. We believe it is our responsibility as educators to nurture and develop every learner to prepare them for life. Learners are continually encouraged to appreciate our diverse community and to care for others by becoming global citizens, and develop a concern and active respect for the environment.

 

At DAV public school, our approach to learning is child centric, encouraging Active learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. In our curriculum the student is the primary focus and each child is involved in the learning process. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery.
